Simplify

In the past year or two, I’ve been desiring to simplify my life.

To go more to the basics.

To get rid of clutter.

To eat healthier.

To use less chemicals.

To become more green.

To reduce, reuse and recycle.

I am tired.

Tired of the clutter.

Tired of the unhealthiness.

Tired of charging through this life with no regard to others around me.

Tired of not making smart decisions.

Tired of being so wasteful.

So in my naive, silly mind I decide to change.

I decided to start recycling more than the bottles and cans I can get money for.

I started making menu plans so that we are wasting less food and less money. LOL. Also so I can make healthier meals when I am not feeling like it.

I decide to start getting rid of stuff. Stuff we had for years and years and never touched. Oh I still have so far to go on this one.

I started using vinegar as my rinse agent in my laundry.

I use essential oils, which by the way I am falling in love with.

I scour Pinterest for some cool ways to be frugal.

To reduce, reuse and recycle.

But in truth I must admit I have so far to go yet.

I didn’t even think about a quarter of the stuff I could be recycling. For example toilet paper rolls.

I throw out so much that I could be using in a composter.

I could be cutting out all the sugar and processed foods out of our diets.

I could,

I could,

I could.

So for now I move forward.

I keep doing what I am doing.

I will add more all the time. (Like the toilet paper rolls. HA)

But I must also admit I am curious. Does anyone else feel the need to start going back to the basics?

Have you felt enough is enough?

If so what have you been doing?

I am looking for all the support and ideas I can find. 🙂
